POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the HR Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will maintain employee records, ensure the successful onboarding of new hires, and provide administrative support to all employee as needed. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will assist employees with questions and provide problem resolutions. The Human Resources Coordinator must be detail-oriented, organized, and work well under structured supervision. They will also assist with other HR tasks and projects described below as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and company information.
· Processes plant payroll, including entering timecard adjustments and generating reports in UltiPro (HRIS system).
· Supports hourly recruiting efforts by sourcing candidates, screening and interviewing, coordinating pre-employment drug screens, and partnering with supervisors to fulfill staffing needs.
· Facilitates and coordinates all aspects of new hire onboarding, including conducting orientations and completing required documentation.
· Maintains HR data integrity by managing the HRIS system (UltiPro) and ensuring employee records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
· Communicates benefits information to newly eligible employees and assist with open enrollment activities.
· Monitors attendance by entering call-outs, tracking attendance points, and issuing disciplinary action related to attendance policy violations.
· Manages various administrative tasks such as completing employment verifications, filing for hourly employees.
· Provides general HR support as needed, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
COMPETENCIES:
To perform this job successfully, the HR Coordinator must be self-motivated, able to problem solve, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Previous exposures to benefit programs and understanding of core compliance areas.
· Demonstrated ability to produce documents and spreadsheets with Microsoft Office software.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees, management, and vendors.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to act in a discrete manner in dealing with confidential records and sensitive information.
· Ability to multitask with changing priorities while meeting heavy deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· HS diploma or equivalent
· 2 - 5 years HR experience
