Our client, Princeton University, is seeking an Events Coordinator . The Events Coordinator will provide administrative, payroll, and purchasing support for multiple departments.
This is a full-time, on-site, temporary position to cover a maternity leave.
Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm.
Pay rate : $30-33 an hour.
Responsibilities :
- Review, correct, and confirm time sheets for approximately 250 biweekly employees entered into PeopleSoft and Time Absence Management, making adjustments as needed.
- Assist employees with general inquiries about pay. Function as primary liaison between department and payroll on pay check issues.
- Support all facets of event coordination between trade staff and campus constituents. Serve as primary point of contact for student and small scale event support requests.
- Create and assign trade shop work orders accordingly. Coordinate with constituents on permitting and inspections, external vendor timelines, venue space availability, and layout.
- Provide detailed event costs to campus clients. Prepare labor and material costs for monthly billing. Proactively track recurring spring and fall events.
- Create, submit, and track life cycle of purchase requisitions for equipment and material purchases.
- Work with vendors and staff to ensure timely payment processing and address discrepancies.
- Provide administrative and advisory support to department safety team.
- Schedule team meetings, track attendance to ensure compliance, and update and maintain certification files for state-regulated vessels. Ensure that any violations are addressed by the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Assist with uniform ordering, file maintenance, inventory management, and other administrative duties as assigned.
