Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday 4am-12:30pm tentatively
Pay: $16-$18/hr
401K: 60% matching up to 10% of salary

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for operating forklift and other warehouse equipment. Supports management daily to achieve production goals, loading trucks, replenishing stock, Works in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operates forklifts and other warehouse equipment up to and including yard jockey, and pallet jacks.
  • Unloads incoming product to the warehouse using forklift or by hand when required if working the day shift. Verifies inventory of incoming product.
  • Stacks pallets of product in designated areas in the warehouse. Puts keg stock in cooler (with forklift).
  • Rotates stock and checks for pull dates if working the day shift.
  • Loads dunnage to return to brewery if working the day shift.
  • Counts and verifies outgoing keg or case loads against loadsheets.
  • Loads trucks in accordance with drivers’ load sheets.
  • Checks and verifies load sheets and new orders to determine if additional products need to be added to trucks for delivery.
  • Completes dunnage reports if working the day shift.
  • Conducts inventory of breakage. Counts breakage by truck and account if working the day shift.
  • Assists with repacking breakage. Returns repacked beer back on line.
  • Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards.
  • Assists with keeping warehouse clean and orderly.
  • Works overtime when required.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by their department Manager. Responsible for keeping warehouse clean and orderly. Fills in for personnel on other shifts when required.

  • Knowledge of computers. WMS proficient, basic skill with Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word.

  • Exhibits an appropriate level of patience and tact.
  • Able to communicate clearly to various levels of people. Is an active listener.
  • Able to organize, plan and prioritize work.

  • Possesses numerical reasoning skills. Able to attend accurately to details.
  • Knowledge of product i.e. code dates, special handling needs, etc.
  • Able to interact well with others and build effective working relationships with managers and employees.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representation of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Able to move easily around warehouse.
  • Must be able to lift/move Kegs, which averages 170 pounds and can weigh up to a maximum of 186 pounds; you must be physically capable of routinely lifting at those weight levels.
  • Must be able to regularly unload product (case of beer), which averages to 30 lbs., but can weigh up to a maximum of 49 lbs.
  • Able to operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including safe operation of a forklift (may need to operate forklift for up to 75% of shift).
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role in warehouse operations.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Warehouse environment.
  • Exposure to machinery with moving parts.
  • Some exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, chemicals, and outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions.
