Job Summary:
As a key member of the Finance team, the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting will oversee the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and related financial reports. This role also involves leading technical accounting research, addressing complex transactions, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations. The position collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, including the Audit Committee, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file SEC documents (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) with auditable support.
- Manage XBRL reporting and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Research new accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the Company.
- Lead technical accounting projects and collaborate on complex transactions.
- Support the Company’s equity-based programs and month-end close process.
- Assist with audit coordination and SOX compliance.
- Partner with teams across the organization to enhance financial reporting and processes.
- Produce internal management presentations for executives and the Board.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in SEC reporting and US GAAP.
- Proficiency with filing software (ActiveDisclosure, wDesk).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Experience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to influence decisions and collaborate effectively.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA preferred.
- 8 years of experience in financial reporting (public accounting or large corporation experience).
