Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Land Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and securing land for development purposes, while maintaining strong relationships with property owners, developers, and government officials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of zoning laws, real estate transactions, and land-use planning.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential land acquisition opportunities that align with company goals.
- Conduct due diligence on prospective properties, including evaluating zoning, land-use restrictions, and market conditions.
- Negotiate purchase agreements, leases, and other real estate contracts with property owners and their representatives.
- Collaborate with legal and planning teams to ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and present feasibility studies, cost analyses, and market assessments to stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with local government officials, developers, brokers, and community organizations.
- Monitor and track trends in land values and real estate markets to inform acquisition strategies.
- Maintain and coordinate engineering schedules to ensure timely project execution and alignment with acquisition goals.
- Manage project timelines and budgets for land acquisition efforts.
- Assist in securing permits, entitlements, and approvals required for land development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of land acquisition transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Real Estate License Preferred.
- Proven experience in real estate, land acquisition, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of zoning laws, land-use regulations, and real estate market trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret legal documents and contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate software.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
