Summary:
The Warehouse General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse management. This includes managing inventory, distribution, logistics, and personnel to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. The manager will be focused on streamlining warehouse processes, improving efficiency, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
The role requires close collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement teams to ensure that products are received, stored, and dispatched in a timely manner, while meeting compliance standards and customer expectations. This position requires strong leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and a focus on continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
• Warehouse Operations Management:
o Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, inventory control, and shipping of products.
o Develop and implement operational strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize storage capacity.
o Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
o Manage inventory levels, tracking and coordinating stock movements to avoid shortages and overstock situations.
• Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead and manage a team of warehouse managers, supervisors, and workers, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
o Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
o Develop and implement staffing plans to meet warehouse operational demands while ensuring cost efficiency.
o Promote team collaboration and ensure clear communication between departments.
• Logistics and Distribution Coordination:
o Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate product distribution to customers.
o Coordinate the transportation and delivery of products, optimizing routing and transportation costs.
o Implement systems to track and manage order fulfillment, ensuring orders are processed and shipped according to customer requirements.
• Health, Safety, and Compliance:
o Oversee and enforce warehouse safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
o Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
o Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including OSHA and environmental requirements, and manage risk reduction initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and warehouse capacity utilization.
o Introduce new technologies and tools to streamline warehouse management, including warehouse management systems (WMS) and automation solutions.
o Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve accuracy, and minimize product damage during handling and storage.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
o Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and cost per order.
o Provide regular reports to senior leadership on warehouse performance, identifying areas of concern and recommending solutions.
o Use data analytics to optimize warehouse processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
o Performs job functions safely at all times.
o Participates in all safety meetings.
o Communicates all concerns or violations to appropriate manager(s) immediately.
o Uses the proper Personal Protective Equipment when performing work duties. Employee wears the proper shoes, glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc.

o Disposes of waste properly.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Must have experience using SAGE.
• Proven experience managing large teams and complex warehouse operations in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control practices, and logistics best practices.
• In-depth understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and other regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for operational reviews, audits, or vendor management.
