What are the responsibilities and job description for the Firestop Installer position at J-Kaulk Firestopping Inc.?
Looking for motivated workers experienced in the field of Firestop and Caulking. Experience is preferred but not necessary as on-site training will be available.
Firestop Installers help protect lives by installing passive fire containment systems in schools, hospitals and other commercial buildings.
Hourly pay will be based on experience. Over-time is available depending on the jobsite.
There is a large ability to grow within the company.
Job Responsibilities:
· Firestopping Installer installs firestop, smoke, or sound caulk at Drywall joints, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Sprinkler penetrations, Masonry joints, and Curtain Wall joint applications.
· Verify that each application is completed as per approved manufacturer’s Firestop Systems.
· Job will require use of ladders, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
· Ability to follow life safety prints supplied to you.
· Job will require employee to carry buckets of at least 50 lbs, use caulk guns, get into tight areas.
· Ability to spend most of the workday on their feet, either standing, bending or kneeling.
· The ability to climb and work at heights.
Qualifications:
· Valid Driver’s License or State ID
· Past firestop experience is preferred but not required
· Must have dependable transportation to meet supervisor at pickup location every morning; must be able to travel out of town, both on overnight and one day trips
· Boom Lift and Scissor Lift certification preferred
· OSHA 10 certification preferred but training will be available for those who aren’t
