Company / Position Overview : J. Kent Staffing's client, a leader in outsourced human resource compliance administration services, and a pioneer of COBRA administration seeks a part-time, temp-to-hire Customer Service & Eligibility Specialist. Our client is proud to be a small, well-established Denver business serving over 2400 employers nationally. This is a fully remote position, but candidates must live in Colorado.
Compensation : $23.00 / hour
Work Schedule : 20 hours / week, Monday – Friday (flexible on days and hours, ideally at least 4 days / week)
Specific Responsibilities of the Customer Service & Eligibility Specialist :
- Assists with digital mailroom (outgoing) duties via daily SFTP upload and entering daily mail piece log count
- Receives, reviews, and enters new COBRA elections into database(s) and notifies carriers of eligibility changes via email and fax
- Enters data into COBRA database for new qualifying events from .csv and .xls formats
- Communicates by phone and / or email with COBRA and retiree plan participants; answers general questions and helps facilitate resolution when complex issues arise
- Enters ACH, check, credit, and debit card payments into databases and uses Excel spreadsheets or .csv files for this work
- Electronically files source documents to server folders for future access
- Downloads Excel or .CSV files via SFTP daily for data entry of employee or plan member demographics from Client Servers
- Reviews returned mail items for address accuracy
- Assists team with a variety of clerical tasks such as address updates, contact updates, and insurance rate updates daily
