We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to apply for our current non-CDL Driver opening at our Frazer, PA branch. At J&L, our box truck drivers are critical to the branch's operation by providing excellent, detail-oriented, and professional service to customers onsite, as well as accurate preparation of loads for off-site deliveries. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure that a high level of customer satisfaction and service is provided for all activities under his / her control.
- Maintain the vehicle in conformity with J&L maintenance standards while presenting a professional image to all customers.
- Perform pre-operational checks, change liquified gas tanks for and operate lift truck to assist in loading or moving materials.
- Accurately check and record all materials loaded and unloaded from the vehicle and initial paperwork.
- Ensure that the daily delivery schedule is adhered to and that any deviations or problems are reported to the Warehouse / Branch Manager.
- Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, including the daily vehicle checklist, and trip reports as required or requested.
- Ensure the security of the vehicle and warehouse whenever possible.
- Actively participate in taking physical inventories and cycle counts with emphasis on product identification and accuracy of the count.
- Collect COD shipments when necessary.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when not on deliveries.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Properly secure cargo during transit.
- Abide by all corporate operating policies, procedures, and employee regulations set by the Warehouse Manager and Branch Manager.
- Be on time, present, and ready to work for at least 40 scheduled hours per week during core business hours (6 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM) and available for some Saturday shifts (6 : 30 AM - 12 : 00 PM) once training is fully completed.
