About the job Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage data and your technical skills to drive insights and develop machine learning models to solve complex business problems, driving the strategy and creating change to identify opportunities across the company. The Data Scientist will be responsible for data analytics processes and results for Research and Development.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Partner with IT to connect market intelligence, CRM sales data, and partner-provided data.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders to understand business objectives, identify opportunities, and develop data-driven strategies aligned with company goals
  • Provide requirements for IT planning to support data modeling needs.
  • Identifying customer populations and critical data elements in support of data enrichment and analysis input
  • Perform analytics required to support various projects or information requests
  • Partner with project and marketing managers to understand user behavior and identity improvement opportunities
  • Analyzing data and creating summaries in MS Word or PowerPoint for engineering lead review and communication
  • Collaborate with the other market intelligence (MI) and data community members to identify 3rd-party market research material and internal datasets.
  • Analyzing the data to provide data intelligence into prioritization models and identify commonalities to drive efficiencies.
  • Partner with developers to develop a dashboard for display insights and outputs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and formulate the correct data science problems to solve
  • Collect, clean, transform, and validate large sets of structured and unstructured data from various sources
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and trends
  • Develop, test, and maintain predictive models and machine learning algorithms (classification, regression, clustering, etc.)
  • Track model performance and monitor for model drift; retrain models as needed
  • Develop processes and infrastructure to operationalize analytical solutions
  • Communicate results through presentations, reports, and recommendations
  • Stay abreast of advancements in methodologies, tools, and technologies, and make recommendations for their application within the organization
  • Mentor and coach data science interns, fostering their growth and supporting their professional development
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • MUST BE A RESIDENT AND ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE USA
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Or equivalent training and experience.
  • 2 years of experience in performing in a data science role within analytics teams
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high-speed delivery-focused environment
  • Ability to work on a fully remote team and maintain delivery tempo
  • Proficient in Deep Learning Libraries (Tensorflow or Pytorch)
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming for model building, pipelines, and unit testing via Python
  • Ability to perform programming tasks to maintain current models and code
  • Mathematical / analytical skills for modeling new features and adjustments to existing models
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Flask, Spark, Databricks, multivariate time series, version control like GitHub and MLflow, LSTMs and Transformers, Jenkins, AWS services, forecasting, statistics, and open-source contributions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate analytical insights into business impacts.
