Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Boat Mate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the operation and management of our vessels, ensuring safety and efficiency during all boating activities. This role requires a strong understanding of marine operations, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to manage various tasks on board.
Duties
- Assist the captain in navigating and operating the vessel safely.
- Manage daily operations, including rigging and preparing the boat for departure.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the boat, both inside and out.
- Provide support during docking and undocking procedures.
- Communicate effectively with crew members and passengers regarding safety protocols.
- Respond to emergencies as needed, demonstrating a clear understanding of safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in a maritime environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage tasks efficiently while working as part of a team.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques and safety practices in boating is advantageous.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment is essential.
