Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in various settings, including residential and commercial properties. A successful Plumber will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical knowledge while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Install cast iron, PVC, CPVC, Pex-A pipe (Uponor), Copper pipe and fittings.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems with little to no assistance.
- Assemble and build plumbing components according to specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Apply basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Must have a strong work ethic and a desire to elevate the team as a whole.
- Prompt arrival to job sites as scheduled.
Experience
- 2 years minimum as a Commercial Plumbing Foreman
- Valid FL driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, work outdoors in all weather conditions, work on uneven surfaces, sit/stand/bend for long periods of time, work from ladders, or from heights.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools commonly used in plumbing tasks. The successful applicant will also own their own tools.
- Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
- Strong mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and repairs as well as the ability to be a problem solver.
- Ability to read schematics and understand technical drawings is highly valued.
