Our boutique law firm needs a Florida Bar attorney who loves to research and write to support our amazing clients and trial attorneys. Billable expectation of 1500 annually. Bilingual English / Spanish speaking preferred, but not required. Full benefits include 50% paid health insurance, available vision and dental coverage. Remote work flexibility with in-person to start.
Qualifications required :
Minimum education required, J.D.
Must be admitted to the Florida Bar
No disciplinary history
Complex commercial litigation experience
Excellent writing skill
Skills required :

Knowledge of litigation strategy
Writing and advocacy skills
Honesty and trustworthiness
Attention to detail
Common sense
Ability to cooperate with team members and communicate respectfully
Ability to accept direction
Ability to follow instructions, and to take initiative without instructions
Familiarity with technology, Microsoft Office and Google Apps especially
Responsibilities :
Guiding and project managing litigation, with support and collaboration from other attorneys and staff
Drafting motions and responses
Drafting proposed orders
Discovery
Preparing hearing / deposition / mediation materials for other attorneys who will appear at such events
Disqualifying issues :
Bar Discipline or Criminal record
Domestic violence record
Driving record / suspended license
Negative Credit history / Judgments
Typographical errors in resume and / or cover letter
