Truck Dispatcher – January 2025
We are a growing construction company based in Gaylord, MI that offers health insurance with low deductible, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance and company truck.
The Company: J &N, LLC. is a MDOT prequalified road building, infrastructure and site work contractor and is known for the great care we take with clients and employees alike.
The Position: We’re looking for an experienced truck dispatcher that will be responsible for coordinating/scheduling gravel trains, dump trucks and lowboys, material quoting, delivery schedules and invoicing. Availability to start by March 15, 2025. The pay is negotiable and based on experience.
Minimum Requirements:
· Strong leadership and managerial abilities.
· Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol tests.
· Ability to coach and instruct all team members of safety regulations.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Pass background check.
· Valid driver license.
· Samsara knowledge is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
- Initiate and organize OSHA training of employees.
- Manage safety documentation and ensure all compliance paperwork is-up-to date.
- Scheduling of all trucks for company/contractors and material deliveries.
- Seeking work for trucks with other contractors.
- Tracking and invoicing of all aggregate materials that are delivered.
- Maintaining material supplies in yard.
- Have working knowledge of Excel.
- Able to work full time and possibly weekends.
Pay is negotiable.
