Marketing Specialist

Position Goal The Marketing Specialist position contributes to the development and execution of key projects for the Marketing and Community Relations Department. Provides support to the District's marketing functions and campaigns through the creation of print and digital visual assets, including graphic design, photography and videography, website content, and other multimedia. Assists with ensuring consistent quality of content and dissemination of information using District communication platforms. Assists with fulfillment of marketing requests from school sites and District departments.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required, in communications, marketing, public relations or related field
• Proven work experience as a Marketing Specialist or similar role
• Possesses understanding of marketing best practices (including traditional and digital marketing such as digital ads, social media, etc)
• Must possess and maintain valid DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Ability to operate a digital camera and capture photo and video content
• Familiarity with graphic design software such Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience managing paid digital ads and social media campaigns
• Experience coordinating the content creation, design, layout, and production of marketing materials
• Possesses strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Experience with web content management tools and email marketing software
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Highly organized and detail oriented.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists with the Combs Education Foundation marketing efforts.

vision and the ability to adjust focus.
