What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at J&P Hospitality Management, LLC?
Duties may involve carpentry; plumbing, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, and repair of kitchen
appliances, PTACs, and repairing interior and exterior walls, siding, roof, landscape, concrete, and interior carpet,
floors, or stairs. Depending on business needs, MT may be asked to prep rooms, and assist with cleaning duties as
well. Ideally this person is personally committed to assure all known issues are repaired at the end of each shift of
work.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Responsible for providing their own tools. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electronic repair with the ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
- Must have a clean driving record
- Owning a service type vehicle is a plus
Preference for those who have completed formal training programs in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction
Physical Requirements:
- 100 lbs. maximum lifting with frequent lift and carry up to 50 lbs; team lift may be required
- Need to be on call for after hours and weekend service calls; occasional overtime required
- Must be able to use ladders frequently as well as going up and down stairs, bending, squatting, lifting, pulling/pushing
- Must move furniture as needed, must be able to use cleaning and painting products, and electric hand tools
