Job Summary
As a Passenger Van Driver with J.P. Mascaro & Sons, you will be responsible for operating a van in accordance with DOT Regulations, company policy, and established standards for excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a valid PA Driver's License, a clean driving history, and meet all required DOT physical and medical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate a passenger van for transporting workers to and from work, for local errands, deliveries, and pickups during the hours of 4:45am - 7:30am and 12:45pm - 3:30pm (split shifts) Monday - Friday.
• Maintain any related records required, i.e. driver's log, route sheets, work orders, special request work, etc.
• Clean vehicles daily to ensure the vehicle meets company expectations to include inside the cab, driver's area, and passenger areas.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections as outlined in the pre and post trip vehicle condition report. Report any maintenance issues on the vehicle condition report and report it immediately to the supervisor or operations manager.
Requirements
• A valid PA Driver's License, and a clean driving history.
• Must meet all required DOT physical and medical requirements and pass a substance abuse screening. As a safety-sensitive employee, may be subject to random substance abuse screening under DOT or company policy.
• Ability to effectively deal with customers and co-workers.
• Requires a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle for passenger safety and to prevent damage to vehicle, equipment, or surrounding items.
• Ability to sit for long periods. Able to bend, stoop, and climb into and out of the vehicle and body unassisted.
