About the Role
This position is both a strategic and hands-on role drawing on "your mind and your heart", responsible for employee relations, performance management, and overseeing payroll and benefits. Reporting to the VP of HR, you will manage a team of 2-4 HR professionals and ensure that HR services are delivered effectively across our organization, while ensuring a great culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on management of key HR processes, including onboarding, performance management, payroll, and benefits, while supporting and developing your HR team.
- Personally responsible to organize and roll-out annual reviews, annual employee surveys, open enrollment.
- Keep the team on-point for employee database updates, metrics accuracy. Strong Excel abilities. Experienced with annual EEO reporting and 401k testing. Monthly & weekly standard HR reports: OT, weekly payroll review, monthly 401k review; monthly HR metrics reports.
- Serve as trusted advisor to employees and management, handling employee relations with professionalism, empathy, and consistency.
- Influence decisions through active listening, policy knowledge, and objective analysis, always considering the impact on our people and the business.
- Build a culture of engagement and continuous improvement by implementing best practices and out-of-the-box solutions.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, and uphold our values in all HR functions.
- Utilize and optimize HRIS systems such as ADP or Paycom for efficient HR processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- PHR certification.
- 8 years of HR experience, including employee relations and guiding performance management processes.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll and benefits administration.
- A minimum of 4 years successfully serving in an HR Manager capacity.
- Experience in industrial, construction, production, warehouse, or similar trade environments is required.
- Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom) and advanced in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Additional Requirements

- Hybrid schedule: 3-4 days in-office, with the option for remote work on alternate days.
