Accountant/Controller

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical accounting and corporate finance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This role is critical in managing our financial health and guiding strategic decision-making within the organization.

Duties

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and cash management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including governmental accounting practices.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits.
• Manage the budgeting process and provide insights on financial concepts to support strategic planning.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial performance.
• Utilize QuickBooks for accounting tasks, ensuring timely updates and accurate data entry.
• Provide leadership to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of technical accounting principles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Solid knowledge of financial concepts, including cash management and payroll processes.
• Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $85,110.00 - $89,698.00 per year
