Summary

The Receiving operator will oversee the functions in the receiving area as well as the operations of the potato peeler.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees the receiving area to make sure that is a steady stream of product entering the plant. Resolves or reports any issues that arise.
• Assists with all receiving duties including truck unloading, machine attending and clean up of the receiving area
• Operates potato peeler equipment inside the plant. Observes that product is meeting specification.
• Assists with cleaning and sanitizing industrial processing equipment.
• Assists other production operators as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Typical Education

High School Diploma / GED

Relevant Experience

• 1 to 2 years work experience in the food processing industry preferred
  
  
  

Other Information

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. May work in refrigerated or freezing conditions
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment including, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes, rain coat, pants and gloves for cleaning
• Ability to stand for 10-12 hours at a time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend and stoop
• Ability to climb steps and ladder
• Ability to work with an around industrial chemicals and cleaners
• Ability to work day and night shifts, weekends and overtime
