The J Resort is a full-service hotel-casino with over 500 rooms and wide variety of Slots and Table Games. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Inspect all menus to ensure their condition and cleanliness
- Seat guests in a courteous and friendly manner and ensure any specials needs have been taken care of
- Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set guest expectations
- Maintain all workspaces and materials at a high level of cleanliness
- Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting
- Assign servers to sections, confirm, and manage reservations, and assign guests to tables while communicating with Servers and Managers
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items, including ingredients and preparation
- Assisting customers with questions regarding activities within the casino for that day
- Maintain a clean work area, profession appearance and present positive customer service techniques
- Perform all opening, side work, and closing duties
- Answers phone inquiries and takes down messages for customers as necessary.
- Ensures proper seating rotation
- Continuously monitor dining room to make sure it is properly maintained, and floor is free of debris
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
- Identification that establishes identity
- Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
