J Rettenmaier USA LP is seeking an Administrative Assistant – Logistics to join their Schoolcraft, MI team.
Hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Minimum qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent job experience in an industrial environment.
- Experienced wither order processing software, preferably SAP.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- 1 year of Customer Service experience preferred.
- Adept in the use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work as instructed in an office environment.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
- Administrative job experience will be helpful.
- Ability to handle multiple projects with strict deadlines.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Communicate with internal customers to provide information on shipping status, anticipated service failures, pickup and delivery dates/times and alternate solutions where possible.
- Interact closely with carriers / dispatch to receive information on shipping status.
- Provide support to customer service / sales about service capabilities, rates, and power availability to build and grow relationships with key accounts.
- Respond to questions and requests as quickly as possible; making every effort to meet customer expectations.
- Update carrier contact information in SAP in a timely manner.
- Utilizing SAP / Logistics Screen, plan and schedule transportation for future customer orders to ensure pickup and delivery dates completed on time.
- Set up Inbound and outbound freight for shipments at all JRS locations that includes customer orders, intercompany transfers, RMA’s, equipment and tradeshow materials using SAP and information provided by other departments.
- Communicate with carriers, brokers and customer service about deficient equipment and recovery plans.
- FTL and LTL shipment set-up.
- Freight claims processing and monitoring.
- Update and maintain freight business partners.
- Field freight related telephone calls and emails from internal and external customers.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
