As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Assistant to support our financial operations.
Position Summary:
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for accounts payable (AP), data entry, payroll processing, and general bookkeeping duties. This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of financial procedures. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Controller and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, approval routing, and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate financial records by entering and verifying transactions in QuickBooks and other financial systems.
- Assist in payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor accounts.
- Support the finance team with general bookkeeping tasks
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring proper record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
- Provide administrative support to the Controller and finance team as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance-related roles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Understanding of accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the construction or remodeling industry is a plus.
