Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in drafting comprehensive estate planning documents and business formation documents, while also being adaptable and personable in client-facing interactions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Estate Planning Document Preparation & Drafting.
Prepare and draft estate planning documents, including but not limited to:
Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts
Wills
Powers of Attorney
Advance Medical Directives
Deeds (including Transfer on Death Deeds, Warranty Deeds, and Gift Deeds)
Drafting Business Formation Documents.
Articles of Organization
Operating Agreements
Bylaws and Corporate Resolutions
Client Interaction & Office Support:
Greet clients professionally and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer phones, manage inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
Assist attorneys with the preparation of comprehensive estate plans and related correspondence.
Conduct witnessing and notarization of documents as needed.
Research & Document Management:
Conduct research related to estate planning and business formation as needed.
Review and organize client information to ensure accuracy and completeness of documents.
Maintain and organize client files, both physical and electronic.
Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of assignments.
Qualifications:
Prior law firm experience as a paralegal with a focus on estate planning and business formation is required.
Proficiency in drafting trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance medical directives, deeds, and business formation documents.
Strong understanding of estate planning principles and related legal terminology.
Notary Public certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with legal document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Paralegal certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Flexibility and professionalism in handling diverse tasks, including client interaction, document preparation, and office support.
Salary : $28 - $30
