Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lube & Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing the maintenance and repair of vehicles, equipment, tools, and associated facilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Meet with supervisor daily to review work needs for the following day and establish realistic goals.
2. Meet with supervisor each Thursday to plan work for the following week.
3. Troubleshoot and repair all equipment and vehicles, ensuring cost effective, quality workmanship
4. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles according to maintenance schedules.
5. Order parts, with supervisor’s approval, from pre-approved vendors with JSG accounts or credit card.
6. Perform miscellaneous welding to make repairs on items that do not require a certified welder.
7. Clean equipment and trucks in the process of making repairs.
8. Keep all shop areas neat and uncluttered.
Documentation
1. Complete and submit documentation of work on a daily basis.
2. Collect, code, and submit delivery tickets and receipts on a daily basis.
Tools & Equipment
1. Maintain the JSG provided tools and equipment in a neat and orderly condition.
2. Maintain the job, associated facilities, and job trailer in a neat and orderly fashion.
3. If assigned a vehicle, it is not to be used for personal reasons.
4. Must maintain driving credentials as required.
5. Maintain and clean assigned vehicle.
6. Check all equipment on the jobsite at the end of each day. Be sure all equipment is cleaned, locked, and properly parked for efficient fueling. Complete a written repair request for any equipment deficiencies.
Qualifications and Credentials
· Virginia driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
· Ten years’ experience with engines, transmissions, rear ends, hydraulics, electrical, and A/C.
· Welding experience
· Furnish all necessary hand tools, punches, bars, torch, wrenches through 11/2” size, impacts through 3/4” drive, and socket and ratchet sets to include 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 inch sets.

- regularly will be required to stoop, crawl, and crouch
- regularly required to listen and speak in order to effectively communicate orally
- regularly lift 25 to 50 pounds
- occasionally will lift 50 to 75 pounds
- must be able to see items near/far, and have depth perception
- regularly required to manually manipulate tools with both hands
