Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Construct financial analyses, including building complex models
- Perform technology, industry, and company-specific research
- Draft client presentations, pitch books, reports, letters, or memoranda
- Assist with intellectual property landscape analysis and evaluation of patents/patent portfolios for salability
- Identify and engage contacts at target companies
- Interact with clients and management teams
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing undergraduate business degree in finance, accounting or bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, or hard or computer science with applicable work experience
- Relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A, corporate finance, and/or intellectual property preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including advanced understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and flexibility
- Selfstarter with strong sense of ownership and urgency
- Great attitude and client presence
- Ability to go to the office 2-3 a week
- Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
- Must be able to work in person in our Chicago, IL office.
