What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapy Clinical Instructor position at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College?
Reynolds Community College is currently in need of Respiratory Therapy Clinical Instructors to develop and strengthen students’ cognitive, psychomotor, and affective clinical skills. Clinical instructors are responsible for evaluating student clinical competence in a variety of clinical settings. Some administrative duties are required for this position.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Applicants are required to hold an AAS or AS in Respiratory Therapy, the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, and a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the Virginia Board of Medicine.
- Two (2) years of recent clinical experience is also required.
- Applicants with experience and training in the field of pulmonary medicine (e.g., physicians, pharmacists, nurses, etc.), holding an advanced medical degree, credential, and license are also eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; demonstrated basic computer skills, utilizing computer software for documentation purposes; demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
