What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor (Part-Time) position at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College?
Tutors help students develop academic and self-regulatory skills needed to become independent learners by conducting small group and individual tutoring sessions (face-to-face or online using Zoom) for Tutoring Services. Training includes initial training and regular professional development. Additional responsibilities include helping students make appointments using Navigate360 and other necessary duties related to the tutoring function as assigned by the Dean of or Academic Support Supervisor.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Education/Training in tutoring or Associates degree.
