Our client, the Corporate M&A leadership team in Big Law, is seeking a highly motivated, people driven Associate Director of Legal Personnel / Talent Management for their team. The ADLP must have 7-to-10 years’ experience in a professional services setting including 3-to-5 years of experience in a law setting in Talent Management, Professional Development, Recruitment or Finance, working with senior stakeholders.
The Associate Director has primary responsibility for attorney career progression, performance management and policy implementation and management, along with staff optimization. This strategic position will proactively engage with M&A practice group leaders to identify emerging challenges, develop innovative strategies, and implement solutions that drive organizational success. Providing strategic guidance to attorneys and positioning the firm as a top-tier employer in the M&A sector is a deliverable of this role.
The ideal candidate will have a background in talent management, with a data driven approach to monitoring attorney’s activity, addressing skill gaps and fostering partnerships across various departments. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required. 7-10 years of law firm experience, with substantial time spent practicing in Corporate M&A or a related field. Demonstrated understanding of law firm operations, including attorney career progression, client service expectations, and professional development needs also required. Compensation includes salary ($200K-$235K ) plus a bonus and an exceptional benefits package. This is a hybrid role.
