Our client, a Chambers rated firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate to join their transactional Construction and Design Practice Group. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of considerable experience representing owners, developers, design professionals, and other stakeholders in construction and design matters. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience advising clients in construction contracts, project financing, procurement, risk management, and other related matters, in a peer size or Big Law firm.
The Associate will represent clients including owners, developers, design professionals, and contractors in all aspects of construction and design transactions; Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including design-build agreements, construction contracts, joint venture agreements, and subcontractor agreements; Advise clients on project delivery methods, risk management strategies, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations; Assist in the preparation of bidding documents, construction financing agreements, and other project-related legal documentation.
This role will collaborate with senior attorneys to provide counsel on disputes related to construction projects, including claims for delays, defects, and contract disputes. Ideal candidates will also develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals, including architects, engineers, and contractors. Compensation includes a salary of 205K-225K plus hours based bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
