This Director role collaborates closely with partners and firm management to facilitate the firm’s strategic objectives and provides a foundational opportunity for an experienced and motivated Director of Conflicts to have an impact on this Big Law client firm. The Director will lead a highly productive and focused team covering multiple aspects of new business intake and lateral attorney conflicts. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a Big Law setting with considerable experience navigating complex conflicts issues in a timely and effective manner are required.
The Director will collaborate with leadership, providing expert advice on conflicts, ethics, risk, and compliance issues to partners and firm management. The Director of Conflicts will develop and deliver conflicts and other ethics and risk training at all levels of seniority and will engage in lateral attorney conflicts clearance and drafting and negotiation of waivers and engagement letters.
Additionally, the Director will improve and enhance existing processes and systems and identify and recommend opportunities for evolution and innovation and will collaborate with other departments to promote a firm-wide culture of compliance. Excellent leadership and management skills and demonstrated ability to manage a team and work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels.
Superior work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to manage a varied workload preferred. Compensation includes salary ($425K-475K), robust comprehensive benefits package and bonus. JD required.
