Do you love to clean but in a rut? Would you enjoy cleaning different locations, floating around Northeast Ohio? JV Janitorial is looking for Cleaner/Floor Techs as we grow our team. The ideal candidate will perform all duties of a general cleaner, at the highest standards; performing daily cleaning of various office and manufacturing accounts to cover for absences and vacancies.
Additionally the best candidate will be called on to use their expertise handling floor maintenance (scrubbing, stripping, refinishing), carpet care (spot removal, scrubbing, hot-water extraction), upholstery cleaning, and other special services per contract specifications and for one-time jobs.
CANDIDATE MUST BE WILLING TO WORK IN DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS NIGHTLY. A COMPANY VEHICLE WILL BE PROVIDED WHILE AT WORK.
Must have knowledge of floor, carpet, and upholstery care procedures and associated cleaning equipment and products. Cleaning products include floor strippers, sealers, and finishes, carpet and upholstery shampoos and pre-sprays, as well as neutral cleaners and degreasers. Must be able to use equipment including mop buckets and mops, dust mops, upright and backpack vacuums, low speed floor machines, high speed floor machines (buffers), automatic scrubbers, wet vacuums, and carpet extractors (both self-contained and box-and-wand).
Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties of a General Cleaner
- Floor Maintenance
- Perform construction cleanup, including removing heavy trash.
- Safely move heavy equipment (floor machines, automatic scrubbers, wet vacuums, carpet extractors) from one location to another.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work independently and be self-motivated; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to perform manual tasks including lifting a maximum of 50 pounds. High school diploma or GED preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pushing (vacuuming), pulling, carrying and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires wearing a backpack vacuum. Requires using floor machines, automatic scrubbers, wet vacuums, and carpet extractors. Requires moving equipment from one location to another. Must have good eyesight to see dust, dirt, and debris to be cleaned.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to follow instructions and routine; able to read, write and measure products. Must be able to deal with interruptions/multiple demands and variable workload and volume. Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, tools and equipment. Must pay attention to detail regarding quality cleaning practices as well as health and safety requirements. Communicate politely with customers and supervisors. Work well together with other members of the Special Services Team. Flexible and able to handle different work assignments on a daily basis.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The position is a combination of office/school/factory/medical work place environments. Must go outdoors to dumpster in all kinds of weather. Frequent exposure to dirty or unsanitary conditions. Frequent exposure to cleaning products.
Applicant/ Employee must have the ability to work evening hours, weekends and over-time as necessary.
MUST HAVE A Valid Ohio Driver's License and Clean Driving Record
