Dispatcher

We specialize in transporting potatoes, sugar beets, grains, fertilizers, and other bulk commodities. While we primarily operate within Idaho, we also serve the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Dispatcher to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all dispatching and scheduling functions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
• Monitor and track shipments, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
• Resolve any issues or delays that arise during transportation.
• Maintain records of dispatch activities and prepare reports as needed.
• Manage and coordinate all equipment moves to maximize efficiencies and minimize excess costs or delays for our customers.
• Assign daily dispatches fairly and efficiently, making sure that all requirements are met.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience by ensuring maximum service levels are met.
• Responsible for the daily dispatch of drivers.
• Be courteous and respectful to all drivers, customers, and staff.
• Coordinate with the shop for truck repairs and maintenance.
• Responsible to set up following day's dispatches before going home for the day.
• Answer dispatch phone and find loads.
• Ensure all drivers are turning in paperwork in a timely manner.
• Support and assist other customer service representatives and operational personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in dispatching or logistics preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Bilingualcandidates are a definite plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• Experience dispatching is preferred but not required.
• Transportation background is required.
• Proficient with use of MS Office, including Word & Excel.
• Knowledge of Google Maps, email, ability to run miles & pin drops.
