SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 21 years of age, must have 2 years of bartending experience, must posses a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
- Clark County Health Card
- Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM)
- Non- Gaming Card.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Must be able to maintain guest focus while performing duties
- Must be able to take and serve food and beverage orders from guests and prepare beverage orders for servers
- Record food and beverage orders accurately and immediately enter orders into POS(point of sale) system
- Work requires bartender to operate POS system, process credit card, room, account, department charges, handle cash payments, payouts, make accurate change and maintain an accurate cash bank.
- Must maintain a clean work station and have a working knowledge of all safety, sanitation and health regulations
- Must be able to follow direction and ask questions for clarifications
- Work requires Bartender to restock, monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies and replenish bar area as needed to service the guests though out work shift
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to management
- Associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management
- Must be resourceful with beverages, fruit and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs.
- Must possess a keen sense of timing and is capable of speeding up or slowing down his/her station as necessary
- Work requires knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, specialty drink recipes, glassware and garnishes and ability to prepare and serve beverages consistent with JW Marriott Las Vegas standards
- Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- Organizes, cleans and maintains beverage station, side stations and proper storage areas and all supplies that support daily duties
- Work requires Bartender to create specialty drinks on a weekly/daily basis and provide recipes
- Bartender must provide food and beverage service for all quests seated at tables in the bar area.

A casino environment typically allows smoking.
