What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Floor Supervisor - Full Time position at J W Marriott?
Oversees and ensures the correct operation of the Housekeeping Department, perform written and visual inspections on a daily basis, to ensure the service levels and cleanliness and coordinate job responsibilities satisfactory and according to department standards. Adheres to all company, safety and department policies and procedures. Foster teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
Supervise, train, direct and assist all associates assigned to the area, including but not limited to:
- Ensure the cleanliness of all rooms, hallways, storerooms and fire exit stairs
- Completes room checks and departures reports and forwards them to the Housekeeping office/ Front Desk.
- Inspect VIP arrivals and in house to ensure the service and cleanliness standards are meet a cordially
- Reports housekeeping deficiencies by logging on daily packet
- Monitors Guest Room Attendants and House Attendants work productivity and communicates any areas below departmental standards to the Housekeeping Manager
- Coach and perform written inspections to evaluate job performance of Associates.
- Notifies Housekeeping Manager and Security personnel of all unusual events, injuries, circumstances, missing items and alleged thefts
- Performs all duties of associates under his/her supervision, as needed
- Ensures that Lost and Found procedures are implemented
- Performs computer task, run reports, check on Out of Order rooms etc.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in working order
- Knowledge on cleaning procedures, safety procedures, and chemical use over wood, tile, carpet, marble, stainless steal, etc.
- Ensure the filling and returning all chemicals, supplies and equipment to the proper storage area at the end of the project or shift.
- Working knowledge of all floor cleaning equipment
- Ensure all lockers are clean and have enough supplies.
- Assist guest with directions and general information.
- Inspect and evaluate areas to ensure outside companies are performing their duties as stipulated on the contract.
- Performs other job- related duties as assigned by manager
- Maintain and clean vacuum for guest room attendants, empty and replace bags, pick up from floor vacuums that needs extensive repair to housekeeping office.
- Ensure all employees are using PPE Personal Protective Equipment while performing their assigned ditties.
- Ensure all Hotel Policies and Regulations are follow and execute by all employees.
