The Senior Catering Sales Manager is responsible for contracting complex local catering and social business, establishing and nurturing relationships with clients to create unforgettable events. This role is perfect for a dynamic, business-minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, focusing on weddings, social events, and high-profile gatherings.
- Drive catering sales goals by securing site visits, conducting presentations, and actively upselling each opportunity to maximize revenue.
- Ensure seamless event turnover to the operations team while maintaining clear communication to deliver exceptional service.
- Implement JW Marriott brand service standards and initiatives throughout the sales process.
- Partner with internal departments (culinary, event planning, and operations) to create tailored, high-touch guest experiences.
- Negotiate contracts and proposals, ensuring profitability while maintaining client satisfaction.
- Maintain an active presence in the Las Vegas event industry, attending networking events and engaging with the local community.
- Utilize sales technology (CRM, Marriott CI/TY, etc.) to track leads, bookings, and revenue performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of catering sales experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end venue.
- Strong knowledge of Las Vegas social and event markets preferred.
- Expertise in wedding and social event sales, with a proven ability to drive revenue.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a passion for building client relationships.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and event management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.
