Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our building team in Magnolia, Texas. In this role, you will work directly with homeowners, creating spaces that are both functional and aesthetically stunning. The designer will use design principles to bring the homeowner’s unique vision to life while adhering to project timelines and budgets. The ability to utilize various design software and tools to draft plans, create visual presentations, and oversee the execution of design concepts is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with homeowners to understand their unique style and design preferences, tailoring designs to fit their vision.
- Provide creative and functional design solutions that meet the client’s needs while staying within the agreed-upon budget and timeline.
- Use design software and tools to draft detailed plans and vignettes, create visual presentations, and communicate design ideas effectively (3D, 2D, mock-ups and renderings).
- Travel to local showrooms to assist homeowner with selections that fit their unique space.
- Communicate effectively with the homeowner, vendors, and the J.W. Neathery team in order to address any needs.
- Oversee all phases of the design process from concept to completion, ensuring that each project is executed to the highest standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of the custom home industry.
- Stay updated on current design trends, materials, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree 5 years of experience in related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office suite
- Strong creative and communication skills
