POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the hydrostatic pressure vessels and piping to meet ASME specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: may include any or all of the following.
- Install, operate, observe and read pressure and temperature of gauges and charts.
- Responsible for the familiarity with and comprehension of ANSI rating for all sizes of flanges and fittings.
- Document temperature and pressure readings; report any irregular reading to management.
- Inspect all unit components and report defective parts to management.
- Maintain all gauges, charts and other related equipment used for testing.
- Observe and follow all Company safety rules and policies.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (COMPETENCY STATEMENTS):
- Proven ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proven ability to write legible, routine correspondence and to speak effectively as well as coherently with management and other employees.
- Demonstrated knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the testing of metal fabrications or other structures.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Proven ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction; take responsibility for own actions; keep commitments; complete tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience are required.
Computer skills:
- Adequate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
