Westerman, an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc).
SUMMARY The Assembler is responsible for installing parts on Natural Gas and Oil production equipment properly, timely, safely, and efficiently using bills of material and blueprints. This role inspects the material and parts for any deficiencies and makes sure that all are corrected before installing on and completing assembly. A successful candidate is a detail oriented, multi-tasker with the ability to handle assignments efficiently and accurately.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.
- Safe and proper use of various hand/air/power tools
- Properly identify and inspect all parts for defects to ensure quality products
- Assemble NPT connections, thread pipe, bolt up flanges in piping spool runs
- Inspect all connections to ensure they are properly sealed
- Properly identify and document parts/components
- Performs inspection to assure equipment meets quality standards, systems work correctly, the equipment does not leak, and assures all parts are installed correctly
- Assures deficiencies are corrected as needed
- Other duties as assigned
SALARY
- ASSEMBLER 1 SALARY RANGE: $20-$25
- ASSEMBLER 2 SALARY RANGE: $26-$30
- ASSEMBLER 3 SALARY RANGE: $30-$33
- ASSEMBLER 4 SALARY RANGE: $33-$36

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of related work experience and/or training
- Experience with threading pipe, assembling NPT connections, and flange bolt up
- Must be experienced in the use of various hand/air/power tools
- Must be able to read and understand PIDs and blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude a plus
- Basic math skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to frequently bend and stoop, climb ladders, and perform physical labor (with or without a reasonable accomodation)
- Must be able to stand for extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a minimum lifting requirement of up to 50 pounds (with our without a reasonable accommodation)
