Foundry Worker

J. Walter Miller is looking for a Foundry Worker to join the team.

Pay:

• $17.00/hour. Pay increase upon completion of training

Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Occasional Friday: 3:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Identify different alloys used and ensure proper ingot, scrap, gates, etc., are used per the schedule.
• Melt heats according to the standard operating procedure (SOP) – ensuring proper heating cycle is maintained and tap FCE when needed.
• Add necessary fluxes.
• Interpret traveler obtaining proper metal, tap, temperatures, and additions.
• Maintain proper temperature range at furnace to minimize downtime, pour backs, and pigging.

Experience:
- Previous experience in a foundry or metal fabrication environment is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
