J. Walter Miller is looking for a Foundry Worker to join the team.

Pay:
- $17.00/hour. Pay increase upon completion of training
Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Occasional Friday: 3:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Responsibilities:
- Identify different alloys used and ensure proper ingot, scrap, gates, etc., are used per the schedule.
- Melt heats according to the standard operating procedure (SOP) – ensuring proper heating cycle is maintained and tap FCE when needed.
- Add necessary fluxes.
- Interpret traveler obtaining proper metal, tap, temperatures, and additions.
- Maintain proper temperature range at furnace to minimize downtime, pour backs, and pigging.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a foundry or metal fabrication environment is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
