Why This Job – CONTRACT TO HIRE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Our established client is looking for a Senior Accountant to help the small, talented team with day-to-day accounting in a very efficient environment. This role requires strong skills in debits/credits, fixed assets, and month-end close, as well as someone who can act as a resource to the Staff Accountant and AP Specialist. You will collaborate closely with the Controller and must deliver accurate, timely results within a tight month-end close.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Lead the month-end financial close
- Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
- Act as a resource to the Staff Accountant and AP Specialist with ongoing accounting support
- Abundance of journal entries to be reviewed, act as first line of defense in ensuring all accounting data is accurate before it’s submitted to the Controller
- Work with the Controller to make recommendations on processes
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- 5 years full cycle accounting experience
- Fixed Asset experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Payroll experience a plus
- Strong Excel and ERP experience/MS Business Central a plus
- Friendly and team-oriented
Where and How Much:
- 100% in-office, Louisville (40 hours/week)
- 8 - 12 week project with potential to extend or go permanent
- $43-$48 per hour, depending on experience
