What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service/Billing Specialist position at JA Frate, Inc.?

This position is Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm - occasional overtime could be required based on workload.
The CSR/Billing Specialist is to accurately enter shipment information; ensuring all information is accurate and ready to be routed for next day guaranteed delivery. The CSR/Billing Specialist is equally responsible for customer service functions of answering phones, taking pickups, providing quotes and tracing shipments.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Insure all shipments have been data entered into CLI software with 99.85% accuracy
- Answering customer and driver phone calls
- Responding to customer e-mails
- Entering pickup information timely and accurately
- Freight Quotes
- Create shipments from Bills of Lading
- Maintain and respond to Day and Night Hot Sheets
- Scan Bills of Lading
- Run daily reports
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will need to have the skills;
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2-3 year customer service experience in a business to business setting
- Proficient Microsoft Office experience in Outlook, Word and Excel
- Accurate Data Entry Skills, able to type a minimum 40WPM
- Previous transportation/logistics experience with geographic knowledge of the Chicagoland area, a plus
