Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and design. This role involves hands-on work in various landscaping tasks, including groundskeeping, hardscaping, and garden care. The Landscape Technician will be responsible for ensuring that outdoor spaces are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and functional.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance of landscapes, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Irrigate landscapes as needed to promote healthy plant growth.
- Conduct groundskeeping activities to keep outdoor areas clean and free of debris.
- Build garden beds and plant flowers, shrubs, and trees according to design specifications.
- Participate in snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to properties.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through regular inspections and repairs.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate landscaping equipment efficiently.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and saws.
- Experience in groundskeeping practices to maintain the health of lawns and gardens.
- Knowledge of hardscape installation techniques for durable outdoor structures.
