In January 2023, JA Solar, a global solar cell, and module manufacturing leader, announced its first manufacturing leader, announced its first manufacturing facility in the U.S. (United States), in Phoenix Arizona. The new facility will produce high performance photovoltaic (PV) products and is expected to be operational by Q22, 2024, creating over 700 new jobs. The facility represents a $60 million investment and will utilize highly automated assembly lines to produce high-efficiency solar panels for commercial and residential applications, as well as utility scale power plants.
Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Statistician you will analyze large datasets stored within a company's warehouse management system (WMS) tpo identify inventory levels, order details, and pick times, shipping dates, and other operational metrics.
Data cleaning and validation:
Identifying and correcting data inconsistencies or errs within the warehouse data
Statistical analysis:
Applying statistical techniques like regression analysis, time series analysis, and hypothesis testing to identify patterns, trends and correlations wihtin the warehouse data
Performance metrics calculations:
Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency, such as pick accuracy, fill rate, and delivery time
Reporting and visualization:
Presenting findings through clear and concise reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to warehouse managers and other stakeholders
Predictive modeling:
Utilizing statistical models to forecast future demand, inventory levels, and potential issues to proactively address operational challenges
Process improvement recommendations:
Identifying areas for improvement within warehouse operations based on data analysis, suggesting optimization strategies to enhance efficiency
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in data management or similar or equivalent work experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in statistical methods, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time series analysis
Expertise in using data analysis software like SQL, R, Python, or other relevant tools to manipulate and analyze large datasets
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
