The Gift Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the JAARS Gift Shop. They will work with the Guest Services Director to ensure the JAARS Gift Shop effectively supports the JAARS mission by telling the JAARS story through merchandise and providing our customers with an opportunity to connect with JAARS in a tangible way.
Position Responsibilities
- Drive engagement by maintaining displays, merchandising, and ensuring a consistent presentation of products.
- Monitor trends to identify customer needs and adjust product selection accordingly.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage inventory in the Gift Shop, maintaining accurate records and ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Oversee online sales operations for the gift shop.
- Supervise a team of volunteers who assist customers with merchandise inquiries and handle payment transactions.
- Manage the budget by tracking expenses, generating sales reports, and reconciling cash receipts.
- Collaborate with the Merch team to develop new JAARS branded merchandise and promotional items.
- Uphold policies and procedures for the operation of the JAARS Gift Shops.
- Work with marketing to create and execute marketing plans to promote the gift shop.

- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work independently.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
