Essential Duties And Responsibilities
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Visually inspects products at various stages of the production process utilizing scopes, vision systems and various hand gauging equipment to maintain quality and reliability of products in accordance with the required Quality Plans. Work with the Quality Supervisor, Quality Technician and manufacturing personnel to maintain quality conformance on all parts.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Works from written and verbal instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, statistical processes, defect libraries and other control procedures.
- Under general supervision, performs visual, and/or functional inspection of parts, assemblies, or final product in all stages of the production process (i.e. in-process and final inspection). Including identifying component workmanship, deficiencies and material defects.
- Responsible for collecting components for inspection at specified stages in the production process and performs visual inspection for a variety of defects such as splay, contamination, gross flash, non-fills, short shots, color variation, voids, and grease/oil to maintain quality and reliability of the products in accordance with the required quality plans.
- Perform inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments, and electronic equipment to ensure compliance of parts and products with established specifications.
- Determines acceptability and identifies defective items in accordance with established procedures, referring only exception cases to the Quality Technician or Quality Supervisor.
- Works with Quality Supervisor, Quality Technicians, Inspectors, Quality Workcell Manager, as well as other manufacturing personnel to maintain quality conformance on all parts.
- Perform barcode transactions for printing of labels.
- Completes appropriate paperwork/documentation/records for the batch history records and/or device history records and reviews for completeness and accuracy per cGMP/cGDP requirements.
- Supports all company safety, quality programs, and initiatives.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed, based on business needs.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have normal or corrected-to-normal eyesight. Corrected-to-normal eyesight is handled by using glasses or contact lenses.
- Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Frequent mental and visual attention.
- Manual dexterity of both hands, including fine grasping of small components.
- Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time.
- Occasional bending and twisting.
- Occasional lifting, moving or physical effort involving lifting up to 30Ibs.
- Prefer 1 year of experience in injection molding, quality, or similar industry/environment.
- Requires use of simple arithmetic, fixed and adjustable measuring instruments, and simple use of charts.
