What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance and Custodial position at Jac-Cen-Del Jr. Sr. High School?
THE SHIFT ASSIGNMENT AND SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT FOR THIS POSITION IS YET TO BE DETERMINED; HOWEVER IT WILL BE FIRST SHIFT FROM MAY 23 TO AUGUST 1, 2025.
SHIFT ASSIGNMENTS
- 1st Shift is 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift is 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift is 10 PM to 6:30 AM
- All shifts work 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM in the summer
REQUIREMENTS
- Background check and DCCS must be completed and come back clear (wait to complete upon hire)
a. Secure building |
b. Empty all trash from designated rooms/areas |
c. Vacuum/Sweep all designated rooms/areas |
d. Sweet/Mop rooms/areas as necessary |
e. Wipe/Disinfect all counter tops/desk tops in all designated rooms/areas |
f. Clean all glass on doors |
g. Wipe/clean all classroom/hallway/bathroom |
h. Refill soap/paper towel receptacles as needed. Ensure no leaks, clean sinks daily |
i. Spray for bedbugs as needed__ Spray/Disinfect all assigned areas during flu/covid |
j. Set up for games/events and open building at designated times |
j. Clean up spills, unclog toilets, empty trash etc during games/events |
k. Pick up trash, sweep and mop bleachers after events |
Additional Duties/Responsibilities: |
a. Snow Days |
* Shovel/Blow off sidewalks during games/events as necessary |
* Spread Ice-melt on front/side walks and loading area during games/events |
* Notify Maintenance Director if weather event is heavy |
b. General: |
* Set up for Board Meetings Monthly __ Re-arrange library when completed |
* Stay over after shift to help with any emergency/snow which might warrant overtime |
* Come into work on days/weekends off to help deal with emergencies. |
c. Summer: |
* Work with custodial/maintenance crew in cleaning both buildings |
* Heavy lifting of furniture as we move each room out and in for cleaning |
* Deep cleaning of each room and all furniture |
