What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at JAC Products?
The Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating the completion of all plant accounting, financial reporting activities related to the assigned manufacturing location, and partnering with Operations in achieving operational targets and financial targets.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
- Comply with all QMS / EMS / ISO procedures and work instructions as it pertains to the position description.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Strategic business partner of the manufacturing team.
- Responsible for accounting, financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, inventory management, forecasting, cost accounting, forecasting, and related analytical analysis.
- Responsible for the monthly financial closing process.
- Ensure that internal controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively.
- Responsible for fixed asset accounting, including capital project reviews, asset capitalization and the physical inventory of fixed assets.
- Accountable for inventory management, ensuring that the plant's inventory controls are adequate, reconciling inventory balances monthly, identifying overage and aging material issues, reviewing/investigating inventory adjustments and coordinating periodic physical inventories.
- Prepare monthly plant consolidation and reporting metrics package
- Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and variance analysis on costing activities.
- Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within JAC Products Inc.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Strong Accounting/GAAP knowledge.
- Advanced/expert knowledge of Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis on Excel (database extraction, creation and use of complex formulas and functions, pivot table creation and maintenance, etc.).
- Must be able to convey accounting concepts and financial impacts to non-finance team members.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Note: Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required for all new hires in all positions.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- MAPICS/AS400 experience preferred
