Essential Functions

• Responsible for scheduling, organizing, directing, and overseeing the correct and timely completion of formulation and multiple blending production functions.
• Establish performance expectations for team members and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and drive accountability.
• Implement and drive lean manufacturing methods to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
• Ensure all Chemical Blenders are efficient, effective, properly trained, and adhere to all applicable environmental, health, safety, quality, and company rules and regulations.
• Manage raw material input and finished product output requirements, working with other departments to coordinate company and customer needs.
• Ensure production deadlines are met and minimums stock levels are maintained, as outlined by management.
• Responsible for ensuring inspections are accurately and effectively conducted.
• Analyze work orders to estimate labor hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external demands.
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Maintains time and production records.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry is preferred.
• Management experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.
• Forklift Certification is preferred, but not required.
• Welding experience is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type, and use a mouse.
• Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
• Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for your own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
• Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.

Work Environment

A chemical manufacturing environment inside and outside of metal buildings. The employee will work in temperature extremes and in a chemical-odors environment. Depending on exact position, employee may need to: operate a forklift, tip and move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 600 pounds with a drum dolly, lift and carry 100 pounds in various packaging lift, and/or handle empty 55-gallon drums.
