What are the responsibilities and job description for the Poker Clerk - Part Time position at JACK Cleveland Casino?
Pay: $13.50 tips (average tips rate is $5.00-$6.00/hour)
Role Responsibilities:
- Acknowledges, greets and converses in English with customers who are actively playing Poker. Maintains a constant survey of tables and fills, as needed.
- Takes set-ups to dealers as they are called for.
- Seats customers on available Poker tables as directed by the Floor Supervisor.
- Fills out appropriate paperwork.
- Wipes down Poker tables and picks up dirty glasses and ashtrays from empty seats.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
- Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
- Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of one-year customer service experience in a position where there is direct customer contact preferred.
- Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.
- Must be mathematically inclined and able to pass a basic math assessment.
- Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Must be 21 years of age.
License Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.
